NEW YORK -- An actor accused of hacking his mother to death with a sword felt like the character Neo from the movie "The Matrix" -- "hearing voices and feeling powerful" -- before the attack, he said in a newspaper interview published Friday.

"I didn't kill her. I killed the demon inside her," Michael Brea, 31, told the Daily News from a hospital prison ward where he was being held after his arrest on murder and other charges.

"I just kept cutting her. No one could stop me. I was doing the work of God," he told the paper.

Mohamed Osman Mohamud was arrested at about 5:45 p.m. just after he dialed a cell phone that he thought would blow up a van laden with explosives but instead brought federal agents and Portland police swooping in to take him into custody.

A Missouri woman claiming Lil Wayne fathered a child with her granddaughter in 2002 served the Grammy Award-winning rapper and father of four with a paternity lawsuit. The paternity suit was originally filed August 20, but Wayne was serving time in Rikers Island since March. Due to his prison term, the mandatory DNA testing has been rescheduled until December 9.
