Erykah Badu has been relatively silent after the release of her latest album, 'New Amerykah Part Two (Return of the Ankh),' and her controversial video for that album's lead single, 'Window Seat.' With scattered appearances announced for 2011, including a spot on the Coachella lineup, Badu is returning to the fold this weekend, as a DJ. She will join the Core DJs as they perform gigs throughout the Dallas, Texas area.
Going under the righteous name DJ Loretta Brown, Badu will pull a normal shift with the rotating Core cast of DJs. Her addition to the crew was announced by its founder and leader Tony Neal. Earlier today, he tweeted the news that Badu had made the team.
